Calisthenics are organized exercises mainly consisting of various simple movements that are meant to increase bodily strength and flexibility. These exercises make use of the weight of one's own body and no other weights or equipment. After an adequate amount of stretching, a series of calisthenic exercises are performed like lunges, jumping jacks, crunches, sit-ups, push-ups, pull-ups, squats, calf-raises and dips.
